Check out this awesome family! I had so much fun playing at the beach with these two beautiful kids! They weren't afraid to get up in the camera and smile, dance, and dig holes in the sand. Most of the day was overcast, but for a few brief moments the sun came out and we captured some fabulous shots! I've known Rob and Laurie for a few years now and they are the most genuine, friendly, loving couple I've ever known. They are on a plane this very moment headed for England, where they are living for a few years. I was so happy to be apart of their short time here in the states. Come back soon Cavin family!!!

Bleu & Kim

I remember the first time I met Bleu. He was probably 15 years old and had such a strong center and kind spirit. I always knew that when he met the right girl, they would be simply amazing. And a few months ago Bleu walked in with a beautiful blonde on his arm... i knew that she had captured his heart :) I felt so blessed to take their pictures last week. Their joy and love for one another lite up these pictures. It was additionally fun to find an old fridge and some train tracks :)

Hi Friends and family!
I am so excited to announce the launch of my photography business: Photorange Photography and website: www.photorangephotography.com
About one year ago I finally gave into an itch that had been growing in me for several years... the desire to really pursue photography. So i bought a camera and went for it! It has been an amazing journey where I have met some really wonderful people, been humbled along the way, laughed a lot (mainly at myself) and shed some tears. All said and done... I am on my way and i am really really loving what i get to do. Please take a second to look at my site, email me- ask questions, forward my site to any and everyone! Be sure to keep checking in... I'll have several weddings posted soon!
I figured since I am launching my business and site I would offer the first 3 people who contacted me 1/2 off on a portrait session and for the first bride I'll photograph your engagement pictures for free if you book a wedding!

We drove around for awhile trying to find the perfect location and catch the sun before it faded away. I've been blessed getting to know them over the past few months and i am so excited to shoot their wedding in July!

Katie and Lester met on a study abroad program in Austria. He is from Asia and she is from San Diego. Had they never gone on this adventure after graduating from high school, their lives would forever be different. I've known Katie for over 10 years and she is just a beautiful girl from head to toe and inside out. They are an amazing couple, full of life and beaming with love. Love you both!

A baby is coming!

Meet Rena and Jesse Frey. I was lucky enough to live next to these two fantastic people for over 2 years! Rena got pregnant and then they decided to move away :( Anyway- I was so happy to take part in capturing this moment in their lives. We spent over two hours at this little church in San Marcos. With the help of the ever so brilliant, David Verdugo, we got some really awesome night photos. Congrats Frey family!

One big family of boys! That's right...three boys and two daughter-in-laws. This family was a blast to photograph. They had a natural energy and genuinely loved each other. The boys got these pictures taken as a present to their parents for Christmas- so thoughtful! Anyway, we ventured around my house and found little fun nooks to take pictures in. Hello! i am back from a holiday hiatus, which was wonderful! Meet the Clark family and their dogs. Coming from a family that grew up with few animals, I must say that the dogs took a liking towards me :) I even convinced my husband, Sam, to join me on this shoot. He was a delightful companion and it freed me up to get the shoots I really wanted. (thanks babe!). Okay, so check out dad Clark's contagious smile! He was full of laughs and i loved every minute. Jenn (great college friend), Craig, and Noah Vanderstoep. Oh yeah, and baby! Jenn and Craig have made the decision to wait to find out the sex of their baby. As for me, I could never do that! I don't have that sort of patience :) They are the most amazing family. Sadly, you will never meet them because they live up in Sacramento area. But if you are ever up there, I promise you that Jenn will make you the most fabulous dinner and Craig- well you can talk to him about anything! They are just wonderful people!

Ethan and Andrew! These boys are identical twins! And to honest, I've known these guys since they were born, but still had a hard time telling them apart. They have so much energy and are bundles of joy, drama, and laughs! We had a great time at Grape Day Park. They loved climbing the train, tracker, and wagons. My hat goes off to their parents because they have done such an awesome job raising these boys!

Meet Charlotte (girl in the adorable red dress), Krissa, and Rick! Krissa and I have been best friends for years and recently she has been my biggest fan when it comes to photography. I am blessed to watch Charlotte once a week while mommy is at work. Manoah and her have sparked a special love for one another (well lets just say that Manoah is in love with 'latte'). I had a great time taking their pictures and Charlotte was so fun to capture. She is like a porcelain doll!

j.j.j.j. stands for : Jeramy, Jerusha, Jocelyn, and Jasmine! Believe or not all their middle names start with an A too! We had such a good time taking these pictures. The girls were the perfect models. They would run up to a rock or a tree and just stand there and pose! They have full and viberant personalities, which makes for creative and fun pictures. The Clark's have been our friends for many years and we are so thankful for their support and love in our lives. They are such an amazing family. Galilea. A beautiful name for a beautiful girl. I had the joy of photographing Gali and her mommy and daddy (good old friends of mine). They recently bought this quaint home in Escondido and have done a fabulous job of giving their home a face lift. Maria has perfect taste and Dan works hard as a high school English teacher. Gali has the most beautiful big brown eyes I've ever seen... precious!

Meet the Nichols family. Little Hailey is 2 1/2 and full of life. She spent most of our photo session eating a pear she picked from our Pear tree. Notice her pretty curly hair (nice work Marissa). Dave works with Sam at Mission Hills Church as a high school pastor. And in the midst of their busy lives, Marissa is in school to be a dental hygienist. I love this family and hope that these pictures capture the love that have for one another.

I met the Koop's through our church, Mission Hills. This family was so full of energy! They were ready to jump, run, and play in the sand. Their family seems to really love each other and this was such a beautiful thing to capture. I was so excited that the pictures portrayed the true closeness of this family.

I love the Knudsen's! We ventured down to Grape Day Park where we took advantage of the old historic buildings. Nick is a genius with the camera and gave me some great tips (thanks!). Avery was just as cute as a button. She has such a dreamy look in her eye and was so easy to work with. It was so hard to pick my favorites because Avery looked adorable in all of them, but here are a few that i couldn't resist posting.

can you believe it- 1.5 weeks! This is such an exciting time in their lives and i felt so honored to capture it for them. Irene has been my friend since... well- forever. Doesn't she look amazing! she would hate me for saying this, but she only gained 12 lbs during her pregnancy! How is that possible! Well- Irene- you look beautiful and i am so happy for the new addition!

So i know this is my nephew, but i gotta be honest- he is the cutest little guy ever! Jackson has been alive now for almost 8 months and is taking the world by force. Only two months ago he had heart surgery! can you believe that - and now he is crawling and babbling and lighting up the world with his cuteness! Happy birthday january... 28- you made it :) Love you guys!

I have a great, long, and fabulous history with the Morales bunch. I like to take major credit for their marriage and thus- the existence of their beautiful daughter- Ceci. So they owe me a lot :) I can't explain the joy it gave me to shoot this family. Ceci is unbelievable. Her face lights up the camera and she is a natural model. Her personality beams through her big dark eyes. They just loved playing, which made my job really easy.

First, the Parkin's family made my job easy. Secondly, the church with the red doors made my job even easier. We found this church in the hills of San Marcos. This Episcopalian church was built in the 1800's and was the perfect sight for shooting this beautiful family of 3 and 1 on the way. Kelly is 39 weeks prego and looks amazing. Noah is about 20 months old and Dan is going on... well he is getting pretty old. j/k. They are an amazing family, grounded in the love of Jesus Christ. Dena Williams was a joy to meet. She just has a sparkle to her eye that captures your attention. We took these photos at the Twin Oaks Golf Course. The lighting was perfect and she was up for jumping in the sand, climbing rocks, and hugging trees. Simply, we had a great time and I loved the way the photos turned out!

I've known Rebecca now for a few months. She works as an admin assistant at Mission Hills. Best Friends (Santa Cruz)

Malina and Sara have been best friends for nearly 28 years. This shoot was such a blast. First of all, Santa Cruz is beautiful. Filled with historic homes, unlimited Vegan restaurants, gorgeous beaches, and some creative street performers, there was never a dull moment. These best friends had such a spunk and energy, from running, posing, dancing, and jumping. Their friendship embodies honesty, humor, love, and a life time of memories.
